This man virtually invented the low budget horror film and has made a fortune by doing so. Worth the read if for nothing other than the pranks they get up to along the way. A few good hints and tips as well.

If your make up sucks, so will your film. A worthwhile investment.

This is just truly inspiring stuff. There is a reason this guy is at the top of the Hollywood A list. Read up on your enemies/inspirations - delete as applicable.
